Just for fun, I went to Dell.com and built a computer to the same specs of the one I have been unpatiently waiting for.................

It came out to nearly $400 more than what I payed...take off the $39.00 shipping and the $75 credit I was promised, and I'm up over $500!!!

Another thing I noticed is that color cases are now $45, I swear they were $19 when I ordered originally

Yep, prices did raise overall... but I went and got a vostro anyway... even though it's about $100 more expensive than the Inspiron was originally (it's still cheaper than one now).

I love how Dell's prices are never stable.

Ya, I noticed that too. I just played with it and the difference was $527.36 from what I originally had. But then they upgraded me to next day shipping and today they gave me $50 off, so now the difference is $651.60! I'm only paying $837 for my computer, so that is a pretty big difference!

Even with the delays, I'm still glad I ordered when I did. :D

$45 and $19? it was a jump to $50 from $20 for me O_O. but yea, in terms of price, im saving about 200 dollars.

My total would've been $1359 after coupon today, instead of the $1280 I did pay (or $1130 if you take into account the credit) so I save 229 bucks.

With demand prices always go up , they also had free RAM and HD upgrade .

Still I'm not regreting skipping the 1720 , I'll wait for a much better gpu and/or value , DELL has gone overboard with its pricing lately , they will soon come down to earth .
