When I close Sonic Media, it gives me multiple errors:

    1) "The intruction at '0x0036acc0' referenced memory at '0x0025f5d0'. The memory could not be 'written'.

    2) Then it does the same thing, but with all 0s

    3) "Runtime Error!
    Program: Common Files\Sonic Shared\Sonic Central\Main\Mediahub.exe
    R6025
    - pure virtual function call"

Any ideas why it does this when I close Sonic?

    Hi,

I can't really help you with your problem, but I can say that the only 2 times I had bluescreens on my Inspiron since November 2006, I had running Sonic Software right at that moment. Don't know if it really had to do with the software, but it seems strange to me somehow...
When it adresses memeory wrong, this could lead to the BSOD, I think.

Well, I have found the problem: Windows Media Player 11. I'm not sure why, but it is the cause. Before upgrading to 11, things were great, no errors. So, I simply rolled back to WMP 10. No more errors have occured.

Beforehand I tried the Px Engine Update, which didn't work.

Maybe some compatibility issues have yet to be sorted out. I guess I'll have to wait for a patch for either or both WMP 11 and Sonic.

What I shame, WMP 11 was awesome, but I can't imagine not being able to burn CDs/DVDs on my Inspiron 6400. :(

Have you ever tried the VLC Media Player? Plays everything wothout needing dozens of codecs.

I like to stick with WMP. Its always been reliable for me. Plus its very user friendly, and its what I've used since I began computing. Lol

media player 11 still has alot of bugs to iron out, I thought I toasted my mp3 player, tried updating the firmware, and it would just hang during the process and bricked it, a few days of searching I found out that creatives firmware program doesnt play nice with mp11, hooked up to a mp10 pc, and it updated just fine

I'm going to stick with WMP 10 for now. No big deal, really. 11 just looks better. Lol
