Looking for recommendations on a better brand in terms of reliability and service. I am looking at either the Sony SZ or the Dell Latitude D620, both with Win XP. Currently have a Dell M700 which is ok. Sonys look nice, do they last? I really hate all the preloaded software, if I just unload the programs, which brand would give me the best performance. Thanks

This is a personal preference. I prefer the Dell Latitude D620. I do not know of any 13.3"-14.1" laptop with a WSXGA+ screen. The D620 has the closest so far with WXGA+. I hear rumors that the 14.1" Lenovo T61 arriving in May will have a WSXGA+ option.

I'm going to close this thread because it is a duplicate of the one in WSIB.
