    Hello,
Im a new member on this forum and soon to be new laptop owner as well. I have narrowed down my choices to either Inspiron 1420 or a XPS 1530. It seems that the 1530 have a lot of issues based on the threads I have read on here. Is this laptop that problematic?

At this point Im leaning towards the 1420. Should I even consider the refurbs on Dell Outlet? There about a 200-300 difference.

    Thanks for the help,

After the issues I have had with my 1530, it's hard to exclaim "GO FOR IT!"

    I can say this though:
If you get a flawless 1530 (LG screen, etc.) then you will own a very powerful and attractive laptop for a very fair price. Had my first XPS been better, I would whole heartedly support and advocate the purchase of the laptop. Oh well...
