Send it back for a full refund, use the grand to get a new E1705 with similar or better specs

did you purchase it through dell?, or a reseller?, a refurb should not be damaged, check your advanced audio options and make sure the speaker isnt muted, though the damaged headphone jack could possibly be the culprit, and a grand for that system is kind of high compared to whats currently available, good luck with it

You better talk with seller on Ebay about refund and Dell Guaranty or ask him for personal repair . Final decision is tell him you want full refund !!! All the Best Wish and Good Luck to you ( not at all but some seller on Ebay is Scammer ).
