    # Is the dell upgrade to Sound Blaster Audigy Software worht it?

    No. For all the filters and synthesizers the software offers it's still coming out of the same hardware. Most of your A/V and games software will contain preset equalisers and filters to boost and optimize the audio quality through your notebook anyway.
