I would like to thank everyone in advance for their input. I am new to this forum and appreciate the help.

I have an Inspiron 6000 that I am having some sound issues with. I can play a DVD and the sound is perfect. When I try to watch a video while on the internet though, I get no sound at all. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

You need to install codecs on your system.
KLite/or Sharky codecs are a good choice.
