Well I don't know to much about laptops / computers as I'd like and after reading on here this past week I believe purchasing the soundblaster was a mistake due to it being software that takes up cpu resources.
Also I believe that it would be impossible to cancel that without canceling whole order and re-ordering which is out of the question seeing as how I can barely wait to get my new laptop is now.
So question is, can I remove the software after I get the computer and just keep it normal?
    Thanks!

No, you cannot remove it once ordered without canceling and reordering...

it would make sense to me that if it is only a software upgrade, rather than hardware, you should be able to just uninstall it and be done with it. however, if for some reason, the software doesn't play well with uninstallation, you can always reformat the computer and reinstall Vista right away and then just not load the software.

    Yeah I figured that.
But the sound blaster itself, am I able to remove it from the laptop since it's just software?
Or am I just stuck with it?
It was only $25 so i'm not really worried about the difference in price.
    Thanks again~

Yes, you can remove it once you receive it, just uninstall it. You also might be able to sell it to someone for like $5 or something on here, haha

But you cannot call Dell and modify your order at this point...

According to the dell "compare it" page... the SB HD Software edition will give you EAX capabilities, and the "stock" sound card will not...

This is a must if you are playing games! EAX makes the entire gaming experience come to life! (No... that wasn't a SB plug :p )
