    Word has it that on 1/6/2005 (Thursday) a very nice Dell coupon will be issued for money off Inspiron notebooks and Dimension desktops. It'll certainly be bigger than recent deals.

    Stay tuned...[ :D]

    Think it could possibly be better than the 25% off they are offering for small business inspirons?

    It is supposed to be bigger than anything since the $750 off coupon. No word if it matches that.

    this is perfect for me, because I jsut got an email saying my ship date for my i8600 was delayed until 1/11 at the soonest (rather than today) and that i can cancel until then for a full refund... So if this really is the great deal it claims it is I'm gonna save a lot of money

    Could they just be trying to shift old stock in preparation for a new line of machines?

    bigger then 750 off? that is crazy

    maybe if i can get a dell 700M for under $800 i will get that instead of the Fujitsu S6231. saving ~$500 for me is alot, i could upgrade my desktop really well with that money

    I doubt that is going to be $750 off! Dell usually never goes that crazy; but hey, you never know they are probably trying to make as many sales as they can so they give some profit for the Tsumani surviors!

    Another question. Say this ends up being a Dell Home coupon only. If I initially set up my account and purchased through Dell SB, would I be able to price under "home" and purchase using this coupon using my Dell SB account? I placed an order for a 9200 on Dec. 28th morning. It was kitted, built and tested by that same night. It's had an estimated ship date of today and I also received the email saying it had been delayed until 1/12/05, so I may also want to cancel and rebuy with this coupon if it ends up being worth it.

    I hope to God there is a deal for Canadians, as I have been watching the 600m with keen interest. Does anyone know if its possible for Canadians to buy through the American site? Would that void the warranty, etc? [?]

    @dock44
    maybe if you call dell purchasing they can help you, but otherwise no.

    @cyoung
    have u seen a dell600M in person

    I have to say it is reallyt ugly and feels like a childs toy. i dunno, personal opinion i guess.

    anyone have a idea what time dell will release the coupon? is the coupon for everyone? or like 2000 first use?

    there's some weirdness with ordering, you can either get a free upgrade from 256 mb of ram to 512 with 2 chips for free... or you can pay 100 usd with no option of purchasing only 1!

    Is this one of those stupid dell hoax to cost everyone to lose sleep over for nothing? I guess unless they pull out something drastically coming up, it's an EARLY APRIL FOOL JOKE. Good one indeed.

    What I found over on edealinfo is that all the coupons available right now are stackable.

    I'm primed and ready here to make a purchase. Just want to make sure I get the best deal possible.

    There isn't a coupon! Dell just instead of savinf 15% now lets you have up to 25% again on laptops! What a rip-off I thought this was going to be a good coupon!

    Well doesn't that just stink. I'm not in desperate need of one but I sure would like to have one JIC. I'll watch the site today to see if anything does pop up but I really doubt it now.

    This deal is colder than one's left over dinner. I think dell should list this as one of the biggest burst deal of 2005.

    It's still better by about $50 than the 20% off deal I almost went with for the 8600. With the 10% off and then a $200 rebate.

    now add a DVD burner, 60gb 7200 rpm hd and the WUXGA screen

    there was 15% off in small buissness, a couple hundred off standard for small buissness, a bunch of free upgrades, then free shipping... That was deal i had.

    the important part is that i bought it in small buissness which is significantly cheaper
