    Put in RAM yourself and you might be able to save a lot of money. how long of a warranty did you get?

    It does seem like that's a decent price once you consider the extra cost of 3gb of RAM. If someone wanted to save money and just get 512 RAM from Dell, what would be a good cost/quality option of RAM from, say, Newegg, in either 2gb or 3gb sizes?

    Nope I didnt ... I dont think there is any coupon available for their Small Business store.

    the vostro's are still priced FAR cheaper than the inspirons imo... or at least last time i looked.

    What kind of task will you be doing on this laptop?

    I also recommend getting the bare minimum ram offered with the vostro and upgrade it aftermarket. Look at the hot ram deals thread for great prices on ram.

    drop the ram to 512mb it will save you a lot then get what you need from fry's or newegg you'll spend prob less than half what dell wanted for ram..
