When I view the Wireless Network Connection Status of my Dell 1505 Draft n card I only see a speed of 117 Mbps. Is there any way to safely tweek this card? The advertised speed of this card is upto 300 Mbps. I don't expect to get 300 Mbps, but I did expect to get more than 117 Mbps.

I've noticed an XPress (TM) Technology Property under Properties | Advanced. It is currently disabled. I was thinking of enabling it, but was concerned in regard to later compatibility problems with my DLink DIR 655 Wireless N Router.

I'm also running a 1Gbit ethernet network card on another computer on the network where I transfer files to. When transferring files I am seeing speeds of upto 50 Mbps (when using NetMeter). Again, much slower than I expected - but certainly faster than my old g network.
