Whenever I try to revive my laptop from standby the screen doesn't wake up. I always have to completely power it down and startup again.

    Any ideas?

I googled it. It might be a power thing. The only thing I can think of is going to the Control Panel and switching standby mode to never. That way you don't have the problem.

I have googled this and there are so many different causes and that is the widest solution out there. :)

    Hope this helps at little.

Well, it's wierd because if I set the options to shut my monitor off after a minute (for example) and I can turn it back on with no problems. The problem seems to be only with standby.

That is what I have been reading too. I believe it might have something to do with the bios from what I have been reading. Check on Dell's site and see if they have an update bios for you to flash to.
