    If possible use system restore point to set your system to a time before the driver installation to see if this correct your problem.
    Why did you not just use the software and drivers from the Dell disc?

    boot from the vista dvd and go to "repair my computer" and run the utility that fix the startup problems..
    it worked for me last week, but i didn't get any message to shutdown my system...

    I think you need to install the package r154200 and follow the readme.
    That should help you solve your problem

    Go to safemode and uninstall the last program and/or do restore from there.
