That was a rather vague statement on their part but I must have missed a more detailed discussion. Anyone know the scoop?

My ESD on my m1330 is Sep 10. I might lose my hope...

I think it's fearmongering. You know? Delays have been known for a while and now there will be many news corporations giving "snappy" titles.

Like the one with "The end of colors" the article did not even mention it once. All it said was pearl white was gone.

Mine was set till Sept 21st till I cancelled it.. over a month and a 1/2 is too long... Great machine though sort of worth waiting for unless you need it in the "month or so timeframe" *chuckles*

There will soon be some design-production executives collecting unemployment benefits after this debacle. This could potentially cost Dell 10's of millions of dollars in lost profits-increased cost (short term) and market share (long term). In short, it could potentially cause great long-term damage to the company. All this over the ability to pick only the lid color of the computer. Funny (not ha-ha funny) how such an insignificant thing can be so damaging; kind of like a microbe.

And the irony lies in the fact that they advertised lid colors as their selling point -- to unleash your inner personality :)

Is this delay solely due to the color lid but not other things such as defective hardware problems?
