Hi...
Well, a couple of days ago I managed to spill Cream Soda on my Dell Inspiron 1520 Laptop Keyboard. Yes, I know, STUPID, but more to the point... Now, everytime I press the spacebar it makes a sticky noise... I have identified that the Cream Soda has got under the key, dried up and gone sticky. I don't want to send it away to get cleaned - mainly because it's incredibly expensive - so I thought, why dont I take the key off myself and clean underneath. The only problem is, the laptops are manufactured so the keys cant be taken off easily. I recently managed to take my 'B' key off, purely by accident and it pushed back on easily. Can anyone reccomend how to take the spacebar off SAFELY so that it will go back on, or any other cleaning tips because this sticking noise is driving me CRAZY. I have already attempted a few times to clean underneath by lifting the key up slightly and wiping underneath with a cotton bud, but my attempts to take it off have failed completely. It would be a great help if you can tell me what to do!!!

Just pull it off... Trust me, all the keys were designed to be remove. But, erm. For Dell. I think u should pull from the top... Hm.
