    Hi!

Recently, I bought a Dell 1525 Inspiron with a 250 GB Hard Drive. So, when I opened the computer for the first time, I had about 206 GB remaining. I said, well, fine.

I added about 10 GB of content to the computer (Music, Folders, etc.) + installed around 5 GB. Thus, my remaining space should be around 185-190 GB, but it is NOT. It is currently at 162 GB remaining, and decreasing by 6 GB/10 GB EVERY WEEK, and I don't know why.

I installed CCleaner to remove some stuff, deleted my Temp. Files and still, not much improvement. What is going on?

PS: I have to say that I turned Windows Update on and I put it on "Automatic" mode (where it updates and installs directly, without alerting. Is that the cause? I have around 150 updates/hotfixes installed, mostly for Vista and Office.

    Anyway, thank you!

    Good.

Let's say I want to format my hard drive and partition it after my format:

What do I do? Do I use Dell's CD that came with the package?

What do I do to partition my hard drive once the format has been performed?

    By the way, thank you!

To format/partition, I would use GParted.
