I have a Dell Precision M4300 laptop, win xp, fully patched. It is connected to the the internet via its wireless Intel 4965 minicard thru an ActionTec router (FIOS).

Last night I lost the ability to access any website. This happened with both Seamonkey and IE7 (i.e, page not found). HOWEVER, I could still access email and the Usenet newsgroups. A wired desktop did not have the problem.

My first thought was a hardware malfunction in the laptop. But, I don't see how that's possible given that my network was functioning and I could still access email and newsgroups. When I rebooted the laptop, all functionality was restored.

Any ideas as to what could have caused this?

    Thanks,
    Harvey
