When I tried running Dell MediaDirect from within Windows Vista I couldn't even play AVI files before, but MPG files worked. So I downloaded and installed a codec pack called "Essentials Codec Pack" from download.com, and now MediaDirect does play AVI files (when I run it within Vista). However, the picture is upside down. What can be causing this?

    Thanks

Uninstall and then download and install CCCP codec pack.

Yeah K-Lite is the best. From my experience AVI videos work well with it. Try it.

ffdshow is the codec pack you need. Every one wrapped with a single bow :)
