So I've had my 1420 for almost 3 weeks. Other than getting the LCD replaced, no issues. But twice in the last 24 hrs, the computer has randonly emmited a strange beeping sound, almost like a BIOS check or low battery warning for a split second. It was preceded in both cases by a grinding sound that I hear periodically on it's own (not a HD drive grind I don't think; I assumed it was coming from the optical drive periodically resetting itself since it's coming from that side of the computer.) First time I heard the beep I was on battery power; second time I was plugged in. No warning notifications, no change in performance, nothing. Just a louder than normal grind and then a split second beep.

    Any ideas?

EDIT: OK, I know the forum search function is my friend... seems to be a HD issue?
