I got my Vostro 1400 a couple weeks ago and I have been playing around with different drivers and virtualization programs in Vista Ultimate. I had serious trouble in wireless networking and it turned out Vista does not like multiple gateway. Anyway, in the process of diagnosing the problem, I have tried different versions of Quickset. After I solved the network problem, I found several issues:

    1. The WiFi Catcher in Vista not detecting any signal. Is was fixed by the A05 update, but whenever I put back A04, it is dead again. Anyway, there is no reason not to use A05.

    2. The MediaDirect button does not call up the program in Vista anymore. It still works at power off mode though. I have tried re-installing MD and QS several times and still cannot recover that button. At the end, I used a hotkey program to make that button to launch Windows Media Center instead. I guess I can use the same program to set it back to MD, but I am more happy with WMC right now.

    3. The WiFi Catcher Network Locator works at power off only if it was shut down or hibernated from Administrator account. It does not work even if I use another account with administrator power.

Has anyone experienced with any of these situations?
