Some people already know this but I don't think there was an official notice thread made about it.

yes but they still won't let you customize them to include the Intel 5100 5300 or 5150 5350 or better WiFi N + WiMax cards. So on that alone I would avoid. Plus $350 extra to go from 1.60Ghz to 1.73Ghz on a Core i7 is absurd.

By this time next year, these will be infinitely cheaper with 32nm Core i7's or maybe Core i9

I would never use Dell pricing for a 5300 or 5350. I'd snag one from eBay for $13 and pop it in myself.

$350 for the 820 is a reflection of the cheaper than usual pricing they are offering on the 720 IMHO. They aren't overcharging for the 820, but undercharging for the 720 so the margin between the two is larger. So while on the open market, the 720 is $400 and the 820 is $600, the way Dell buys CPUs (especially lower end chips), I wouldn't be surprised if they paid $250/ea for the 720's.

While I loved working with and using the RGBLED 1920x1200 panel on the 1737, that resolution was a wee bit too high for my liking (especially with the underpowered 3650). 1600x900 and a 4650 will do nicely.

Money can be made and lost.....saved and spent.... but once time is gone, it's gone. If you want to sit around for a year, be my guest. I live in the now as best as possible for tomorrow is not promised.

    And true OneCool....

17 no, 15 yes. The 5300 is actually the only card the i7 15 comes with in Canada.
