Hi all,
Just received my studio 15. What a great laptop! 1440 WLED screen is amazing. P8400 CPU, 4Gb, 250Gb 7,200 HDD, Back lit keys, Bluetooth.
Runs really quiet, temps are really good, always stays cool. Only uses 25watts too! 30 when processing.
Anyway, after all the good things 2 questions...
I noticed that when watching my camcorder .m2ts in Sony picture motion browser, my CPU is running at 80%. I thought the ATI HD 3450 card in this laptop could decode AVCHD files leaving the CPU with more power.
Also, yea i opted for the gimmicky facial recognition software, why not, i found a 10% discount for the whole system so i piled on all the extras. I wasn't expecting much but it isn't that bad, worth running really.
However it only works in internet explorer which is a terrible browser. I use google chrome or sometimes firefox. Don't suppose there is any way to get FR working in these browsers?
Thanks,
-
Not yet, but hopefully soon. I was actually wondering the same thing so I emailed the manufacturer (Sensible Vision). They said that although they had planned support by the end of 2008 that it got put off until later this year in favor of other features.
