For all the dell studio 15 owners please post the games you have testing and what framerates you receive. Tell us what settings you use to play the game.
Please list the specs of your studio 15.
Let me be the first,
Studio 1537
256mb Ati Mobility radeon 3450
Intel core 2 duo t-5800 2.0ghz
250 gb 5400rpm harddrive
3gb of ddr2 800mhz ram.
My games I play.
Left 4 dead- Medium/high at 1280 by 800 resolution. I have everything on high besides shadows, which i set to medium, and I tuned download AA to 2x. Antrofic filter is on 16x. It runs around 20-35 fps. Average around 30.
Test Drive Unlimited- runs comfortable around 800by 600 and on medium world detail with 2x aa. I think I get around 20 fps.
GTA 3 LIberty city- I had to put this old game in here lol, runs at everything maxed out with NO lag. and it looks pretty good for a old game. Since i have frame limiter on it keeps the frames at 30.
half life 2- everything max and runs about 25-40 fps. 1280 by 800
Half life 2 episode 2- runs everything max besides shaders and dynamic range. WIth a good 30 fps.
Okay guys Iam done for know, Iam looking foward to your posts.![]()
And to tell you what I think about your studio 15. Me personally I think its not that great nor not that bad. So its okay. I like because it always stays cool and the fan bearly comes on when I surf the web.

I'm not understanding the point of this thread, you want others with the exact same laptop to post their gaming performance? It will be similar to yours give or take a little for other bloatware. This http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=283163 is probably a good thread to look at, along with posting in the studio/inspiron forums http://forum.notebookreview.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1050, since that is the only test bed you wish you run against.

No, i want studio owners with similar specs not the exact thing, and my point here is to see what games it can run from expirences.

You should have written Dell studio owners in the title of your thread. Better yet, post it in the dell forums. You're bound to get more responses there.

masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
if you are trying to increase l4d performance, bring shaders down to medium.
that is the framerate killer.
