I have the choice of the following systems -

    Dell Studio 15

    Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 (2.0GHz)
    Hard Drive 320GB (5400rpm)
    Memory Dual Channel 4.0GB (2x2048) 667 MHz
Display LCD 15.4 WXGA CCFL TLF
    Optical Drive Blu-ray (DVD+-RW + BD-ROM)
256MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3450
2.0 Mega pixel Integrated Web Camera
    Midnight Blue Microsatin Finish
    Battery 6 Cell 56WHR
    Windows Vista SP1 Home Premium

    Price - £404.88

    Dell XPS M1530

    Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 (2.0GHz)
    Hard Drive 250GB (5400rpm)
    Memory 3072MB (1x2048 + 1X1024) 800MHz DDR2
    Display LCD 15.4 WXGA
    DVD+/-RW (8X)
256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 8600M GT
2.0 Mega pixel Integrated Web Camera
    Finger Print Reader
    Tuxedo Black
    Battery 6 Cell 56WHR
    Windows Vista SP1 Home Premium

    Price - £417.84

I would be grateful if you could state which one you would picks as well as any reasons etc for doing so. Alternatively any opinions / views on each system would be much appreciated.

In my opinion the two big differences is that the Studio has the Blu-ray where as the XPS has the 8600m GT.

    Thanks in advance

Id choose the studio because it has good graphics card that will not fail and a blue ray player and more memory and the blue lid. It will be worse in gaming performance though as the trade off.

Cheers, am I right in saying that the Studio system I have listed does not have LED but a higher resolution panel. However I thought all Studio systems come with LED LCD panels? Maybe I am wrong.
