    Studio 15 Adapter

    My studio's power adapter (hopefully its the adapter) died today. Dell is overnighting me another...anyone else have this problem?

    I haven't had that problem yet, but Wow your power cord died fast. I notice they get really really hot after awhile. Like fry an egg on it, its so hot. That does worry me.

    no everything is going good here

    really thats wierd I have been on mine all day and its just warm. you might wanna call dell and get a new so you dont burn down your house. cuz that would not be fun.

    The temp of the power supply depends on what you are doing and hence how much power the laptop is drawing. It is quite natural for the supply to get hot, though it should NOT get hot enough to burn you when you touch it. Like any good electrical appliance, ensure there is adequate airflow around the power supply.

    If possible, rest it on a hard flat (arguably heat resistant) surface. Usually use an old heat proof mat from my kitchen.

    My power adapter gets very hot, not hot enough that I can't touch it though.
