I've noticed that after sleeping/waking up a few times, my Studio 15 seems to stop switching CPU frequencies and locks the multiplier at 6x (half the CPU's top speed) even if a load is placed on the processor, which makes everything sluggish. I've confirmed this with Resource Monitor as well as CPU-Z. Normal behaviour would be switching up to a higher multiplier whenever the processor is busy, and puting it back to 6x when idle. I've confirmed its not a heat issue. Sleeping/waking again sometimes fixes this, sometimes it doesn't, and a full restart always fixes it. I have a Studio 1555 with a T6500,Radeon 4570, 4GB RAM, WD Scorpio Blue 250GB, and the latest (A12) firmware. Any ideas? This is getting really annoying.

Seems to happen more often on battery, but it does happen on power too.

Similar to this thread, but a different laptop

heard this is a common issue, altho i never sleep my laptop so i dunno.
many ppl recommend using throttlestop, altho it kinda is a temporary solution.

Still doing it, check resource monitor to see if it happens to you. Its intermittent, keep checking it.
