    Studio 15 Mic Not Working

    Okay I love my new studio and all but I'm gettin annoyed...

    Why is the mic not working lol? I already updated the drivers for the sound.

    Anyone know of any solutions?

    I would give a go at doing a factory restore of the laptops software (keep pressing F8 at startup and then select repair my system). First though run dell diagnostics (F12 when the dell logo appears at startup and select diagnostics), run custom diagnostics and check the microphone/sound test. This will tell you whether its a problem with the hardware or software. Once you have your results, note down any error codes if any.

    If its a hardware fault contact dell immediately, but if its a software fault (e.g. the mic works in diagnostics) do a factory restore, or search the dell support site for a journal which relates to the microphone.
