Studio 15 NOT delayed

Hi everyone,
I've lurked for a while and have been terrified with what I've been reading about Dell's studio laptop. That's why I thought I'd share some pretty good news. It was ordered on 8-14 and shipped 8-24. The only thing they got wrong was no fingerprint reader, that I specifically asked for.
Sorry for those who've been delayed 2 or 3 times.

Did they refund you for the fingerprint reader?

It's possible someone canceled their order far into production with the same config as you and you are getting that person's.

Unless Dell back on the ball which I doubt since it's back-to-school season.

i ordered mine the 7th and it shipped the same day as yours.. lol

and i didnt get backlit keyboard otherwise that normally delays 12 extra days

 

I hope they forget my fingerprint reader too because I really didn't want one, but I had no choice otherwise at the time.

About the delays...I think you may be right. A lot of people who ordered around the beginning of August seem to be getting theirs shipped now. I reordered mine on the 17th and its coming this week. I think Dell has finally caught up. Thank goodness! Hopefully there won't be anymore multiple delays for anyone.

My company bought it for me so I just selected most of the options. It was $1471.00 pre-tax

 

um you are saying that Dell forgot the fingerprint scanner, but on your build list, it says:

Just curious. Also my laptop is arriving a few days before dell's shipping date. Kudos to Dell.

 

yeah mine shipped today! i am so relieved! i was expecting delays.

Mine arrived today (it's amazing so far), and the fingerprint reader really isn't bad. I don't like typing in passwords, but it's not something I would send back for a completely different laptop over

 

dell said mine wud come today but DHL said tomorrw.... sooooooo yea
