I have a Dell Studio 15 and have been experiencing some sound issues. Occasionally, my computer will recognise my voice (i.e. I can have a conversation with someone on Gmail and Skype, or can use the speech recognition with Windows Vista). However, more often than not, the computer will not recognise anything. I ran a diagnostics test on my system and came up with the following error:

    Error Code: 1B63:181B
Msg: AUDIO – User indicated they did not hear the expected result

Can someone please explain what this means and how I can fix it? Is it a hardware or software issue? Thanks
