    Hi,

I have the an opportunity to purchase a studio 15 via work for a good price. It would be replacing an old desktop I'm using.

To keep the portable nature of the laptop i thought I would get a port replicator and I need something that I can still use my 24" lcd running @ 1920X1080 with- is there anything out there that is suitable or have I got any other options like plugging the monitor directly to the laptop and run everything else via a port replicator?

Closest I have seen is the targus apc60 but it states video up to 1600x1200 so that may rule it out

    Thanks

I don't think there is a direct port replicator for the Studio. I would just plug the monitor in directly to the notebook and then use a USB hub so that you only have to remove one USB cable when you want to move it.

I have the same question posted in another forum.

I have a new Studio 1537 with the eSata port that works as both a USB and Sata connection and I am looking at adding a USB docking station for my keyboard, mouse and display for use at home.

Does anyone know if the eSata port will provide a faster link to display HD video vs. the USB link? Thanks.

Here is the link for the USB dock... http://accessories.dell.com/sna/Popu...e=140#Overview
