hello to all. I ordered a studio 15 recently. :D i am going to be usin it for college and gaming and i would like to ask studio 15 owners if the system would be able to run games such as world of warcraft, battlefield 2142, battlefield 2, and counter-strike smoothly. I bought the system fully maxed out but the only thing im worried about its the graphic card which is a 256mb ATI mobility radeon HD 3450. replies will be appreciated. thanks

Is gaming is your worry you should check out ASUS N-Series. It was just released earlier this month and the higher end models are just coming out. It comes with at Nvidia GeForce 9650 GT. You could save $200 using the live.com ebay link as well.

Put it this way the ATI 3450 is not ideal for gaming. It might/will work but if you are spending that much already on a maxxed out system to play games it's kinda bad that it bottlenecks at the GPU.

With respect to those games, yes, the HD 3450 is more than enough. However, the 3450 is not enough for games that are currently being released (ex, CoD4, Crysis, Mass Effect, etc). If all you plan to do is play the games you specified (and a little more demanding), then the Studio 15 is good enough.

hey ideoteque. im currently stickin with the studio because trust me im not paying full price for it being maxxed. im paying ALOT less, i mean ALOT less than it should be for the system to be maxed. but yes the games that i listed are the only ones i am going to be playin. no need to play cod4 or anything else like that when i have a 360 right.

Yes, the S15 is fine for those games. I really like my Studio 15, it is a great notebook.
