    Hi all,

I'm going to buy a Studio 15 laptop and I'm very in doubt about the display quality. I'm not interested in a large resolution (I guess that 1280x800 is enough in a 15" screen) but it seems that the display with this resolution has a smaller view angle (especially vertical) than the 1400x900 display that maybe is not very good if you spend some time reading documents.

What is your experience? Do you have one of this display on your laptop?

Is the 1280x800 WLED display a decent option or should I buy a 1400x900 one (+80 euros)?

I'll use the laptop for office job (open office), some (simple) photoshop, some movies.

    Thanks all

    Fabc

I have 1440x900 in a 14-inch and it is nice to read stuff (although if you put the laptop away from you in the desk, like at an arm's length, it's too small.

1280x800 is too small in my opinion for a 15-inch display.

    Thanks for your useful opinions.

HerrKaputt's laptop display should be a WXGA+ with WLED technology and standard angle view (as per DELL data): do you note any problem with the vertical angle of view? I mean do you have to calibrate perfectly the screen on the vertical to have a perfect readeble and color correct image? If you move open or close the screen do you see a difference in the image (color, contrast,...)?
