Just ordered myself a Studio 1558. Unfortunately, there wasn't an option to upgrade the 5,400 rpm harddrive. Not sure whether to replace it with a faster model or to keep it for everyday stuff and get an SSD for the operating system etc. I'm a newbie when it comes to upgrades, is there room for a second drive in the machine? Is it easy to remove one drive and replace it with another?

Consider yourself lucky. I had a very similay system spec'd out and saved and when I called to order (am in Italy and wanted OS and all in english) all i got was an email with a quote will be mailed to you tomorrow morning. Well, I have yet to receive the email quote AND my saved configuration has been dumped from my account page with the note that some items in the configuration are no longer available. Now when you try to spec a Studio 15 via the Italian site, you only get the i7-720QM processor option.

Needless to say Im a bit pissed off and will be really pissed if my quote doesnt come through for the configuration I want.
