I'm looking for opinions on the current gen Studio 15 backlit keyboards.

Is there any flex to the keyboard? Is there any difference in feel/flex between the backlit and non-backlit keyboard?

I know this is purely subjective but in your opinion, does the keyboard feel "cheap" or does it feel like it would be at home in your most high-end models? (My preference is for the MacBook-style chiclet keys but that's obviously not an option with the Studio.)

My current primary laptops are a Lenovo T61p and a 13" MBP so I'm a little spoiled when it comes to keyboards.

    thanks in advance!

I loved my 1555's backlit keyboard. It's not quite as solid as the MBP chiclet keys, but it's just as solid as the non-backlit keyboard I had before it. And the backlights themselves are pretty awesome.

Today I had been to Dell store in my city. And I found SXPS 16 keyboard more sexy than Studio 15 keyboard. Though both have backlit option the build quality and shapes of the keys are much better in SXPS 16 for me. Its so soft to type than Studio 15 keyboard.

And again the backlit option can be disabled or enabled as per users choice. To enable the backlit use the Fn key and another key. And it first lights of the keyboard to dim and if you press again it gives more light. Means you can set the contrast of the keyboard back light !!!
