    Hi there,

I was just about to buy a Studio 15 from Dell at £479 when I spotted the 15Z at £449. Both are styled almost identically and I do like the look of them. It seems the 15Z is geared towards battery life but does the performance suffer greatly because of this? The studio has the icore cpu and to help the audio side of things a subwoofer.

Now I have never used either so could someone possible give me some advice on any of these two offerings. It will be mainly for home use but good battery life is always a bonus, however if I watch a film then the better sound output of the Studio would help.

Any help or advice from current owners would be really nice.

    Thank you.

I posted the same question earlier in the week. I was told that the main difference is battery life. The 15z uses a low wattage processor which sucks less juice and also makes it quieter. My main concern was the screen because the 15z says hi def true life, but the studio 15 says hidef 720p. Apparently there is no difference from what I've been told.

I'll ask this in a post actually.

Thanks for the info, any idea how much of a performance difference there is?

    Thanks

no clue, but honestly if Mozilla opens up .00034 slower than the other, so be it. I guarantee the difference is negligible

Where you will notice the difference in performance between the two is when you are using multiple apps at once. In this context, the non low voltage processor will definitely be snappier.
