Bought a studio 15 from best buy last week, and now whenever I have the power cord plugged into the computer I get this high pitched sound coming out of it. Sounds like a crackling/electric sound. Is there a fix for this aside from going back to best buy?

I should probably note that this sound also happens if the computer isn't even on.

I know this problem. I have a Dell studio 1537 too and I have this problem but now I can not send the laptop back. ( I have it for too long).
This high pitched sound comes only when the energy from battery is from 75% to 85%. (Even when the laptop is off.)
I don't understand why but I will ask dell.
If anybody knows please tell us.
    Thank you very much.
