wow i just got my outlet studio 15 delivered this monday lol. i would be a lot angrier had i not gotten it for $790 previously ordered new. deciding between keeping it, the t400 ive had for about 14 days already. or waiting forthe new studio with centrino 2 (moreso for the 800mhz ram support than anything else). believe it or not the THINKPAD is the one with build quality issues. it has a loose palmrest that I can left up about a quarter inch. but its performance is noticably better than the studio with its ddr3 ram and new processor. but that is costing $1180. i am still debating if the proce diff is worth it. the studio 15 I have works great and is no slouch with a t9300 proc and 3gb ram.. maybe a 7200rpm drive upgrade would close the gapwith the t400 as it has a 7200rpm drive. your post justmade it that much harder ARGH!!!!

C'mon Dell, seriously, Centrino 2 on only 1 Studio 15 BTO/CTO??? Dell is getting worse by the week. Oh, and who would want the 1280 X 800 WLED option, low resolution is unacceptable for LED.

Interesting with those screen options they are offering. I had not seen WLED at 1280x800 offered before. Looks like just the processor has been added and not the more powerful ATI card yet. I'm still happy with my recently outdated S15 and Montevina overall does not bring enough increases for me to care.

Maybe the LED 1440x900 display is gonna be a $50 upgrade in the future?
