Studio 1525 XP Fingerprint

Hi there

I installed XP SP3 and loaded the drivers for the fingerprint scanner, but I cant seem to find any software for it.
The HP version posted previously, only works with Vista.

I dont recall the name (digital persona?), the software with the 2 little hands when you load the app.... but it doesnt recognize my fingerprint reader.

Any suggestions?

well yes.. you need digitalpersona.. but but.. not sure where u will get that.. since its a license software not a freebie. and dell will only supply u with the vista version.. since they wont support xp on these consumer lines. basically like the hp pavilions.. pretty hard to go back to xp on certain drivers and software.. i personally just stuck to vista.. and seriously.. enjoying it. its a question of getting used to. and actually makes life easier.

 

and also.. they dont have a xp version. only vista. thats ofcourse if you are to buy a license now. but it seems soon one will come out. http://www.digitalpersona.com/products/dppersonal.php

 

so how would the downgrade option work then? will they simply say "tough" ?

 

Yeah I just installed all drivers now except the finger print ( I still didn't find the driver ), and ofcourse I'll need the software !!

 

tough" guys.. the software u will not find because it doesnt exist not even to buy. as the link above shows. tough luck.
