Does anyone have a solution to eliminating the awful glare from the Studio 1535 screen?

It's a glossy screen; almost all mainstream laptops, with the exception of some business level computers which feature matte screens, sport a glossy screen.
There really is no way around it other than to change the lighting or the location of the computer. -
Thanks. I've tried both but to little avail.

THe only way round it then would be to replace the screen with a matte one.

what's the downside (other than added expense) of a matte screen vs a glossy. Thinking of upgrading my screen in the near future so I'd be interested in any differences
