    Studio 1536 - LCD Failure -Speaker Light Code

    Hello,

    I have a Dell Studio 1536. The display is not working and when I boot
    the system it gives me a code from the 3 speaker lights code that is suppose to mean an LCD Failure has occured. The light code is,

    Two LED flashing One LED On
    FLASH ON FLASH - LCD Failure

    An external monitor works fine so I can use the laptop.
    I can not find the definition of an LCD Failure.
    Does anyone know what this means? I would like to narrow it down
    if possible to an inverter, backlight, display or whatever it may be.
    Maybe it is just a generic code..........
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I have run the dell diagnostics and got 2 error codes

    Error code 0413
    MSG: Error code 2000-0413
    MSG: LCD cable not detected

    Error Code 0414
    MSG: Error code 2000-0414
    MSG: Inverter cable not detected

    The diagnostic then reported that the graphics passed their test.

    I have an external monitor hooked up that is working fine.
    The cables(LCD,Inverter,power) have been reseated multiple times but I still have the error.

    Any ideas out there?
