1. I've bought my new studio laptop about a month ago,
Installed Windows Vista 64Bit (and that's dell's fault for not supporting XP) with all the updated drivers straight off the website, my bluetooth works great, I regularly use an external bluetooth mouse, but every time I log into Vista it searches drivers for "bluetooth peripheral device" - what is that ? where can I download it ?
2. Occasionally my laptop refuses waking up from sleep mode & the only way I get a response is turnning it off... why is that ? how can I fix it ?
Thank's, Roy.

1) Did you install the bluetooth driver off the restore CD or off of the
Dell website or did you use the one Vista installed on its own?
I researched your issue on the web and many people with Vista 64 report the same problem. They say the driver is out of date. Make sure you are using the latest one from Dell.com if you haven't already downloaded it.
If the problem persists you may need to upgrade the drivers.
BluSoliel has some good drivers but they are not free.
There is a BlueSoleil Hardware checker tool (version 6.4)
that you can run on your system to see if their driver
will work. I know it works with my Dell 370 BT.
Let us know what you have found out.
btw: What version are the drivers you have right now
for your bluetooth card?
2) How are you trying to wake the PC? Mouse? Touchpad? Keyboard? Shaking the laptop? Hopefully not the last
Sometimes mice won't get the PC to respond to wake from sleep mode and you have to press a key.
At support.dell.com in the drivers area...under system utilities, there should be a "Recommended Vista Power Management Settings" utility. This might help. -
1. I've installed the bluetooth driver off Dell's website.
Thank's for letting me know about BluSoliel's alternative, but I don't know if I'm ready to pay for something that Dell should fix, I'll try to find another solution before I pay for new drivers, it's not that big of a deal at the mean time... =)
my current drivers are: Dell wireless 370 bluetooth mini-card - ver 6.1.0.4100
Microsoft bluetooth Enumerator - ver 6.0.6001.22168
2. I tried waking it up with every possible way.
I've installed "Recommended Vista Power Management Settings" but no change so far.
I even tried to install the hotfixes that Microsot offer for this problem but my OS responds that these do not apply to it.
One more thing... when I turn the PC on, it takes it a realy long time, about 5 mins, untill my OS is ready to use, after it uploads all the drivers & such (I don't have alot of startup software, I usually cancel that option), is it something common ? something wrong with my computer ? or as I suspect, the Vista-wagon strikes again... ? -
Anybody... ?
