    Hello folks,

I installed retail Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit on Studio 1537 (the one in the signature) So far whatever I have tested, except the touch buttons, everything works.

I wonder if anyone knows how to get those touch buttons working.

    Thanks in advance.

Install correct drivers, w7 has default drivers not specific for your system. Install QuickSet to get the buttons working.

Thats exactly this question was for. I don't know what Dell calls drivers of these touch buttons as, may be 'Quick Set'?
I ran ma-config to check if I need to install any drivers and it didn't show any, so I presumed that I have most of the basic drivers correctly installed (and as I said almost everything works perfectly)

Yes, install quickset. The touch buttons tons don't need "drivers." They need Dell Quickset.

I had Quickset uninstalled after Windows 7 upgrade and touch buttons worked fine.

So I don't think it is down to quickset....

It's not QuickSet, because my touch buttons work fine on W7 Home Premium x86 without it.

Have you installed the latest available drivers for your sound card? I believe your model uses the same IDT High Definition Audio Codec that's found across most of the Studio line - you can find the drivers at http://support.dell.com.

Once you've installed those, the OSD in QuickSet for your volume should work correctly.
