I just upgraded the keyboard on my Studio 1555 to the backlit one. Everything went smoothly, when I put the battery back in and powered it up, the keyboard lit up and everything.. However, it does not turn on when I try to activate it after startup.. I've tried hitting ctrl or fn + right arrow as well as F6.. Nothing works, is there a driver I need or any other way you all know how to activate it?

Thanks for any and all help.. Love the forums BTW.

Have you double checked all the connections are properly made? Are you sure the keyboard works fine?
