I was wondering can I just install Bios driver in Windows7 64?
I downloaded file named somethimg like R8....

What drivers are you using for Mobility 4570 and where to download them?

On official 1555 driver site, what is the official name for Hard disk driver?

I have overheathing problem on thouchpad so it might help with upgrading drivers.
    Thanks

Latest Studio 1555 bios version should be the A12, you can find it in the Dell site on the "driver and download" section.

    Drivers and Downloads

I installed following the Install instruction and everything is fine, but upgrading bios is always a bit risky i think.

For the 4570 drivers...the one you can find on the dell site are really old, i use the latest driver released by ATI, here: Graphics Drivers & Software
you select Notebook graphics, Mobility Radeon series, Mobility Radeon HD 4XXX Series, the operating system you use, and then you can download a small exe.
You launch it and it will automatically download the latest driver.
Install it and you've done ;)

Yes, you can update BIOS in Windows 64bit. However, keep in mind, flashing BIOS is a risky procedure. So, I can't assure you it is safe. Update at your own risk. If you familiar with BIOS recovery on Dell Studio 1555 notebook, you don't have to worried anything.

There are a couple of modified driver available online but for official driver, you can use either driver released by Dell for Dell Studio 1555 OR driver from ATI. Latest driver from ATI is Catalyst Control Center 10.12.

Usually you don't need to install any driver for hard disk.

Overheating at touchpad area is common problem on Dell Studio notebook. To fix this issue efficiently, I believe you'll need to use cooling pad. Most important, the fan need to sucked the hot air from memory holes at the bottom of the notebook instead of blowing air into it. I just tried it on my Studio 1557 & it does helps lower down the temperature. I believe it will make touchpad area on your Studio 1555 much cooler. Of course, this only practical if you at home. Another solution is re-apply thermal paste on the CPU & graphic card. You also need to clean the dust from your notebook. Too many dust collected inside the notebook also can be the reason it to overheat since hot air cannot flow smoothly or trap inside the notebook.

    I hope this helps.

Says on Dell site that Bios v12 is recommended an there ar some fixes and also I want to dimm some light on laptop case which enables only if I have this newer BIOS.
    1. System will hang up when flash BIOS under OS mode.(set dim display 1 min)
    2. Fix keypad set password problem

QUE: If I install this BIOS v12 and then format disk and re-install WIN7 64, do I need install BIOS v12 again ?
Thanks, but I thought there is a solution without cooling pad. :(

You don't need to re-install BIOS after re-format/re-install windows. BIOS is permanent, cannot be erase, at least without special equipment.
There is. Re-apply thermal paste on CPU & graphic card. Also you'll need to dismantle your notebook to clean the dust inside it. Believe me, it does help. My old notebook also overheat very badly. After I dismantle & clean it up, it run cooler, much much cooler. :)

Yes, the 4XXX series includes a lot of graphic card ;)
You can download and install it with no worries.

In my own case no, everything went fine.
I advice you that during the procedure of flashing bios the fan of the laptop goes to maximum speed for some minutes, it's normal, it's meant to do like that to assure the lowest temps.
However as i've said before, and also as kizwan said, flashing the bios is not always a secure procedure, some users had freezes of the laptop...
But i think that in percentual most of the cases went fine.

For my experience with this laptop, the heat you can feel on the touchpad is not caused by cpu or gpu, neither the hard disk.
Is the Wi-Fi card that's exactly under the touchpad that produces heat, so it's quite hard to reduce it...
