    Hi,

Has anyone received a 1555 with 1080p screen? Can you comment on it? Is it very bright? What's the model? Do you think 1080 is too small for 15.6?

I just received a 1555 with 900p screen I ordered for someone else, and I am thinking to order one for myself with the 1080 screen. The 900 screen is very nice but I would want it to be brighter for 1080.

The higher resolution will not make it any brighter than the 1600x900 display, if they both use the same backlight (CCFL or LED).

Have you adjusted the brightness to the maximum level?

Yeah, for same model/spec screen with different res. I need to know what they provide for the 1080 screen.

15.6” High Definition+ (900p) Bright LED Display with TrueLife™ and Camera [add $50 or $1/month1]
15.6” Full High Definition (1080p) High Brightness LED Display with TrueLife™ and Camera [add $75 or $2/month1]
May delay your Studio 15 ship date

The mention "High Brightness" as opposed to "Bright" for the 1080 screen so I am assuming it is higher nit.

    I have a 1555 with the 1080 screen.

    - It's very bright. I keep the brightness set to around 6/10ths of maximum because it'd hurt my eyes to turn it up to the max!
    - The huge resolution took a day or two to get used to (I was using an Avertec 3300 EG-1 with a 12" screen that had a max resolution of 1024x768 so it was a shock to me) but I am loving it now and I could never go back to something so small again! I am able to read things fine. it is not too small for a 15.6.
