Most of the world now has it, surprised that europe/UK doesnt have it yet. Anyone have any clues on this?
Called a dell number and didnt get a confident response, the person had no clue what i was talking about and said UK already has a studio 15. After i told him that its released new in the US, the helpful guy checked and told me it is usually 2-3 weeks after the US release and knew what i was talking about.

When was the US release again?

Cant really wait for it, hope dell dont mess up now.
The current studio 15 has problems and if there is a new one just coming whats the point in getting one now?
The M1530 IMHO is a great laptop crippled with a time ticking bomb of a graphics card

The U.S. release was just about 4 days ago.

    Really? wow
That means a wait till about mid may. Unless i see something really good this weekend when i go for laptop shopping i probably will end up waiting till 1st July when the * rumoured* free vista to 7 upgrade comes in

I call shenanigans on the free Vista to Windows 7 upgrade. Microsoft has never had a free upgrade from one OS to the next. Upgrade versions are cheaper than full retail copies, yes, but never free.

    Wasnt there one for XP-Vista?
I just realised that the new one is considerably more thicker than the old one.
Ok then... why dont i go for the 1357 which has discounts on it?
The worst unfixable problem seems to be the eject button issue... but that isnt really a big deal is it?
Can you still use vista eject button during that period?

You can still eject by going to My Computer, right-clicking the DVD drive, and selecting "Eject", or by using the Fn+F10 shortcut.

Mastershroom: When a new MS OS is about to come out, some PC vendors sell computers advertised with a free upgrade to MS's next OS when it comes out. The upgrade is sent to the end users by their computer vendor, not by Microsoft. It's a method to give users less incentive to hold out until the next MS OS comes out.
