    Studio 1555 bricked. Help!

    I badly need your help in reviving my Dell Studio 1555 that got bricked while updating the ver. A11 BIOS.
    nothing to display on screen after turn on power.
    any help is greatly appreciated!!! otherwise it's case of big repair cost as unfortunately my warranty expired just last month. :(

    Odd, I just did a A11 update not to long ago and went smoothly. Try this I'm not sure if it will work but its worth a shot:


    1) Turn off the computer

    2) Remove Battery and disconnect the power cord.

    3) Wait, for 5ish minutes (read several places to wait for 20 minutes)

    4) Plug the power cord back in (Dont reinsert the battery)

    5) Hold down the Insert/Scroll button, hold the power button down for 20-30 seconds. Nothing may happen until you release the power button. When you release the power button hold the Insert/Scroll button)

    6) Restart, and try to get into bios

    Did u mean Insert+Scroll button and Scroll button are ↑,↓,←,→ button? if so, i hold down Insert+↓ then hold power button but the power is on then it goes off. nothing happened even i still hold down that 3 buttons. help me T_Sous

    Problem settled!
    my 1555 is alive again using Phoenix BIOS Recovery Program..now i have no fear if my system brick when BIOS upgrading fail.. :D
