I'm trying to remove a keyboard from a Studio 1555. I’m at the part where it says, "Disconnect the keyboard cable from the keyboard connector on the system board by rotating the keyboard connector latch towards the front of the computer." I see the white connector on the cable and I see the black connector on the system board, but for the life of me I don’t see any latch. Could someone who has experience with this give me an idea of what I should be looking for? The picture in the online service manual is less than enlightening.

    TIA!!

The connector on the motherboard its self has a little latch on top of it.The side the ribbon cable goes into the connector should just lift up (flip up)and it releases the cable.

Just the top of the latch lifts.Kinda hard to explain

Just make sure the cable is lined up right when re-installing.
