I'm stuck between getting a Sony Vaio FW and a Dell Studio 1555...

Unfortunately, the only review I've found on the 1555 was on Youtube but the guy doing it had a thick combination Australian/Chinese accent and it was hard to understand most of what he was saying....

I've seen some 1535/1537 reviews, but are there any places for a good 1555 review? Or do any of you want to write one? :D :D

    Thanks

I was looking at the Vaio FW for a while too. But the design/build looked quite flimsy, and with such a high reported rate of hinges being detached or become extremely loose, I decided against it.

The studio 1555 should arrive in a week or so.

Well I have a 1555 if you want to know about anything
The 900p LED screen is absolutely amazing. Pictures look outstanding, lightyears beyond anything else, on it
    Keyboard is nice
    Speakers aren't the loudest

I'm afraid you don't buy a laptop for good speakers.

I'd highly recommend buying a set of speakers from logitech to use whilst at home. I've gone through various sets with different laptops, the ones I use now are 7.1 so not that good for most people (as they wont have the space for all these wonderful speakers), but a good starter set like the X210 or X240 work very nicely.

If you're looking for stereo speakers, it doesn't get much better than the Logitech Z-2300, for sure. 2.1 with a dedicated sub, 200W. They also have the Z-5500, a 5.1 version of the same thing.

Headphones are great too, if you get something good, like a nice pair of Sennheisers and an amp.
