Why would you not just upgrade the bios using the .exe file like a normal person?

    Hi Guys!
Today have received the alert from Dell Support Center for critical BIOS update.
and i dont know if i should update or not because i have no flaws with shut down or any other. the only flaw i have it`s when win 7 starts there is an error with McAffee appears. I press abort. then everything works very well.

i`ve read about nveuok`s problem and now i worry if i need to update because everything is fine with my laptop.

my specs in my profile (Additional Information)

Or do you suggest me to buy 1557 instead?I don't work with graphical programs.

At least I've learned I should only update bios if it would fix a problem I have..My laptop still bricked, could't fix it, calledDell, they tould me it could be a motherboard prblm, I hope the replace or repair it:s mib_asd, I don't recommend updating, but on the other hand, maybe I'm lucky that the problem came out while still under warranty.. I was really satisfied with 1558, solidworks and big graphic things works great, tirna, I would recommend it, mine has i3 core, and did't have overheating problms.. And I think by now, new laptops should come out with the newst A04 bios which fixes the shutdown issue..

Well, the same case here, I also bought it from London, but living in Romania!but just as an advice, it is possible to get warranty services valid in your country, you just need to contact Dell uk,complete a formula, and wait some weeks until the trasfer gets valid,so you can get your laptop repaired right at home.Just if you will experience a problem.
